I would love to have you try it, but my two little ones will not sleep without their blankets!!!! So, you'd have to pry them out of their cute, grubby little hands.
Once the babies grew out of the blanket at about four months, they still were happy and comforted by sleeping with it next to them. They never sleep without them, and John is now three, Alexander is one.
I like your burrito analogy, by the way. That's exactly what we called them: little burritos!
I think it is Tina Mulhern who also swears by swaddling and that whole approach which is discussed in a book called "The Happiest Baby on the Block" or something. (Sorry, not computer savvy enough to do italics, so the title is in quotes. What a shame for this English major. And is there a spell check on this thing??? Oh well, it's late, and no doubt you will forgive me.)
